Henry D. Janowitz, M.D., formerly Head of the Division of Gastroenterology (1958-1983), is Clinical Professor of Medicine, Emeritus, at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. A past president of the American Gastroenterological Association, he is a recipient of the Julius Friedenwald Award, the AGA's most coveted honor, for "outstanding contributions to the science and the practice of Gastroenterology." He is the author of Your Gut Feelings.
