Jane Kallir is codirector of the Galerie St. Etienne, New York City. Granddaughter of Otto Kallir, who was a key factor in Moses' discovery and subsequent popular success, she is the foremost authority on the work of Grandma Moses and has organised numerous exhibitions of her art. Roger Cardinal is professor of literary and visual studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury. Michael D. Hall, formerly head of the sculpture department at Cranbrook Academy of Art, is an artist and independent curator. Lynda Roscoe Hartigan is chief curator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Judith E. Stein, formerly curator at the Linda Alter Collection of American Women Artists, is an independent curator and art historian.
