Books by John Brindley
BORN in 1961, football author JOHN BRINDLEY is a Forest fan first and human being second. Introduced to The Reds by his father, whose brother-in-law Bobby McKinlay holds the club's appearance record, supporting his team is more an obsession than a hobby. From juvenile 'sins' of missing school to follow Forest at home and in Europe, to being thrown out of a library for celebrating victory over Sheffield Wednesday and missing weddings because they co-incided with bad results, he has continued to view the world through exclusively Red spectacles. "I've forgotten everything else in my life," he confesses. "But never who Forest are playing next!"A former journalist with the Loughborough Echo, he is a regular match day football reporter whose glass can only be half full - until he knows Forest's result. In 20 Legends: Nottingham Forest, he tells the entertaining tales of some of the stars who have shone brightest at the City Ground.
