KAREN VANDERHOOF-FORSCHNER is the chair of the board of directors of the Lyme Disease Foundation. She was named Woman of the Year for her work by the Points of Light Foundation and Family Circle. In 1992, Time magazine hailed her efforts as the "most successful awareness campaign" of any health organization. In addition to her numerous television appearances, Ms. Vanderhoof-Forschner has been interviewed by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Newsweek, among other prominent publications.
