Ken Crowe taught history in Southend's comprehensive school before joining the staff of Southend Museums Service. His main interests are in the archaeology and local history of the Southend area, and he curates those collections at Southend Museum. He has a special interest in the history of the day tripper from London in the late Victorian period. His hobbies include gardening and holidaying in France.
