Lynn Weber, Professor of Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, has for thirty years been a leader in developing the field of intersectionality-examining the nexus between race, class, gender, and other dimensions of social inequality. Her current work focuses on revealing inequalities in the process of recovery from disaster and in health outcomes. Lori Peek is a professor of sociology and director of the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
