Mark Maslin is a Lecturer in Geology and Paleoclimatology at the Environmental Change Research Centre, University College London. He has been a core member of the Benfield Greig Hazard Research Centre since 1998, and also teaches at the BBC Open University. Previous work has included funded research at the University of Kiel in Germany, and consultancy for Mobil Oil and Greenpeace. A member of several international environmental groups, his research projects have taken him from the Amazon to the Azores via Bermuda and Greenland. He is the author of several books on the instability of our climate, and a frequent commentator and consultant for radio and TV Mark lives in London.
