Twice nominated for a Pulitzer prize, Mark T. Sullivan, 38, has been a deer hunter since the age of 10. He spent 2 years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Agadez, Niger, after receiving a Bachelors in English from Hamilton College in 1980. After graduating with highest honours from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, he worked as a financial correspondent for Reuters Ltd. in Chicago and covered the US Congress for States News; Service. In 1986 Sullivan joined the staff of The San Diego Union-Tribune and was twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for a series of articles. Since 1991 he has lived with his wife and two sons in central Vermont. His award-winning writing has appeared in Yankee. The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, The Washington Post Magazine, Snow Country and Outdoor Life, where he is contributing editor. He is an avid skier, hunter, dog trainer, gardener and cook.
