Books by Marnie Fogg
Marnie Fogg was born in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. An early passion for clothes resulted in her studying fashion at Nottingham College of Art, now Nottingham Trent University, from the age of sixteen. Designing for many levels of the market for a few years was followed by working for luxury knitwear label John Ashpool in Berwick upon Tweed and in the print workshop of Sue Kemp. This experience of all aspects of the fashion and textile industry led to Marnie establishing the first high level fashion course in Wales, where she became a Senior Lecturer. Moving to Derbyshire, Marnie became a visiting lecturer at both Nottingham and Derby Universities at the same time as studying for a Masters Degree in Fine Art Theory and Practice, exhibiting her work in Derby, Beilefeld Germany and Athens. Following the publication of her influential book Boutique, a 1960s phenomenon in 2003 Marnie became a full-time author of best-selling books on fashion and textiles.
