It complements more fully the course of study detailed in its companion book, Fabric Reference, by exploring the fascinating and satisfying characteristics of the multitude of fabrics we know by name. Comprehensive lists of fabrics for many end uses are listed, and then, in 115 "Files," some 600 names and terms are illustrated and/or explained. Links to these terms have been featured all through Fabric Reference, but having them concentrated in a separate handbook like this makes them infinitely more accessible for close examination while pursuing the course of study; it also makes this book especially valuable for use on the job after that course is finished!
