Nina Glick Schiller is Director of the Research Institute for Cosmopolitan Cultures and Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester. The founding editor of the journal Identities: Global Studies in Culture and Power, Glick Schiller has published Towards a Transnational Perspective on Migration (1992) and Nations Unbound (1994) (both with Linda Basch and Cristina Szanton Blanc), Georges Woke Up Laughing (2001) (with Georges Fouron) and Locating Migration (2011) (with Ayse Caglar). Thomas Faist is Professor of Transnational and Development Studies in the Department of Sociology, Bielefeld University. He serves on the editorial board of The Sociological Quarterly, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Migration Letters, and South Asian Diaspora. He recently published Citizenship: Discourse, Theory, and Transnational Prospects (with co-author Peter Kivisto, 2007) and Diaspora and Transnationalism: Concepts, Theories and Methods (with co-editor Rainer Bauboeck, 2010).
