Books by Polly Courtney
Polly Courtney is best known for writing Golden Handcuffs (Matador), a semi-autobiographical expose on life in the City. Her other titles include Poles Apart (Matador), the true story of a Polish migrant friend, and The Fame Factor (Avon), a tale loosely based on her experiences in an all-girl string quartet. In late 2011, she famously walked out on her publisher, HarperCollins, for the 'girly' titles and covers assigned to her books - most notably It's a Man's World (Avon), the hard-hitting take on the lads' mag industry. A regular speaker and broadcaster, Polly talks frequently on youth culture, inequality, sexism and various social issues.
