Richard A. Burridge is Dean of King's College London, where he is also Professor of Biblical Interpretation. His book What are the Gospels? A Companion with Graeco-Roman Biography (second edition, Eerdmans, 2004) is widely regarded as a breakthrough in Gospel criticism. Other books include the critically acclaimed Imitating Jesus: An Inclusive Approach to New Testament Ethics (Eerdmans, 2007), shortlisted for the Michael Ramsey Prize, 2009. In 2013 he won the Ratzinger Prize for Theology, following publication of the SPCK Classic edition of his Four Gospels, One Jesus? (SPCK, 1994, 2013).
