Rosalind Kerven's children's novel The Woman Who Went to Fairyland was shortlisted for the 1993 Children's Book Award, The Sea is Singing was chosen as a T.E.S. Book of the Year and dramatised for BBC Radio, and Who Ever heard of a Vegetarian Fox? was shortlisted for the 1989 Children's Book. Her books for Frances include a retelling of The Enchanted Forest and The Fairy-Spotter's Handbook. Wayne Anderson has illustrated over 20 books for children. He wrote and illustrated Dragon and Wayne Anderson's Horrorble Book. His illustrations have twice won V&A Illustration Awards: he was overall Winner for Gnomes and Gardens, written by Nigel Suckling (Pavilion) in 2001, and Highly Commended for The Tin Forest, by Helen Ward (Templar) in 2002. He collaborated with Rosalind Kerven on The Fairy-Spotter's Handbook.
