Books by S. B. Kennedy

S.B. Kennedy is Head of Fine and Applied Art at the Ulster Museum. He has arranged many exhibitions and has published widely in the field of contemporary Irish painting. His Irish Art and Modernism 1880-1950, for which he received the prestigious Sunday Independent/Irish Life Visual Arts Award in 1991, is widely regarded as the authorative text on the period. This was followed by Great Irish Artists: Lavery to Le Brocquy and monographs on Frank McKelvey, T. P. Flanagan, David Crone and Paul Henry. He is presently engaged on the compilation of a catalogue raisonne of Paul Henry's complete oeuvre which is to be published in 2004. For long an admirer of Basil Blackshaw, this is his first book on the artist's work.
