Sheree Fitch has won almost every major award for Canadian children's literature, including the 2000 Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People, which acknowledges a "body of work inspirational to Canadian children." She has over twenty-five books to her credit. Her home base is on the east coast of Canada. Sydney Smith has been drawing from an early age. Since graduating NSCAD University (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design), he has illustrated numerous children's books, including Mabel Murple, Toes in my Nose and There Were Monkeys in My Kitchen. In 2015 he was awarded the Governor General's Award, among various other accolades. Originally from Nova Scotia, he now lives in Toronto, Ontario, with his wife and son.
