Since committing his thoughts to paper, Simon has contributed copious features on film and music to a variety of newspapers and magazines including The Guardian, The Times, and The Beatles' Book, the group is official journal. His first book, Your Face Here - British Cult Movies Since the 1960's (HarperCollins UK, 2002) was a critical success, entering the BBC's Top Ten Books of the Year for 2001. In addition to curating a month-long season of 1960s films at the National Film Theatre in 2003, Simon is a serving on the committee to establish a memorial garden in honor of George Harrison.
