Wirral resident Stephen McGreal is a married man with three adult daughters. Locally, he is known as 'the rocking horse man' due to his long standing occupation within this toy market niche. His spare time is frequently spent researching in military archives or occasionally acting as a Western Front battlefield guide. His fascination with the subject and a burning desire to ensure 'Their name liveth for evermore,' has resulted in the publishing of six books on this emotive subject. He is currently working on another title in this centenary series Liverpool at War 1914 - 19.
