Books by Tony Abramson
The Authors interest in economic history, trade routes and migration led him to study marginal coinages where civilisations touched or collided. From there he developed an abiding interest in an eclectic mix of archaic, Oriental and primtive currencies, the coinages of the Islamic and Viking trade routes and the Silk Road. He also studies Judaic coins and Abramson medals. In the 1990's he progressed from Celtic coins to pre- and post-Conquest hammered pennies. In recent years he has focused his studies exclusively on the early Anglo-Saxon sceatta coinage, and has an established reputation in this field. He speaks frequently on coin related topics and has written a number of articles: from A History of the Khazars to the story of the murderous Yorkshire Coiners.
