Only contains 50 pages of descriptions (English one side, French on reverse). Preface is also present. Circa 1820s. Pages heavily marked with some tanning and foxing, plus heavy thumbing and water staining. Text remains legible. Some occasional annotations and marginalia throughout. Endpapers missing. Hinges and gutters heavily cracked with exposed netting; some loose pages. Pastedowns torn, stained, peeling and loose, with large pencil drawings and inscriptions. pp6-7 have some mild rust marks. Many dog-eared corners. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and peeling to corners and edges, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Heavy splits to joints. Boards slightly loose. Heavily scratched, rubbed and marked overall, with additional droplet marks to front. Gilt is dulled and worn.
