Jo Richardson is a long-established book editor specializing in cookery and healthy lifestyle, and has worked on cookbooks by many leading contemporary chefs, cookery writers and food bloggers. She is also a cookery author in her own right and regularly develops and publishes healthy-eating recipes on her Island Cook website, www.islandcook.org.uk. Although an 'overner' (mainland migrant) rather than a 'caulkhead' (third generation Islander), Jo was a frequent visitor to the Island over many years, enjoying in equal measure its breathtaking scenery and its wonderful produce, before finally settling permanently 15 years ago and living there blissfully ever since. The location photographer Ben Wood moved from London to the Isle of Wight with his wife Anna in 2000. Best known for his marine photography and his book The Island, published in 2006, Ben has established an enviable reputation as one of the Island's most prolific and finest photographers. Having worked with numerous top food photographers as an assistant in London in the 1990s, the chance to collaborate with Jo Richardson on this book was too good an opportunity to miss, particularly as it combined two of Ben's abiding interests - The Isle of Wight and food.
