Russell Ayto is a popular and bestselling children's illustrator whose books include Quacky Quack-Quack! (shortlisted for the Mother Goose Award and the Smarties Book Prize), Super Sue and Super Sue at Super School. He won the Gold Smarties Award in 2003 for The Witch's Children, and the Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2008 for The Witch's Children Go to School. He has been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal twice. Before illustrating children's books, Russell worked for various magazines including Time Out and the Sunday Observer. Russell lives in Cornwall with his family. He is also the author of Henry and the Yeti and The Match (Bloomsbury).
