The Management of Municipal Solid Waste in Europe Zusammenfassung

The Management of Municipal Solid Waste in Europe: Economic, Technological and Environmental Perspectives: Volume 5 A. Quadrio Curzio (Catholic University, Milan, Italy)

The many aspects of the municipal solid waste (MSW) problem are analysed in this fifth volume in the series. Two fundamental choices were made when putting together this book. Firstly, the approach is multi-disciplinary in that it combines technological, environmental and economic analysis, and highlights the many specific inter-relationships between them in the MSW problem. Secondly, the main focus of the analysis is policy, or more precisely, usable knowledge and analysis for policy making at various levels, this being also the case with most technical contributions.
