Roger Scott co-authored the Teacher's Book to accompany Peter Viney's Fast Track to Reading and is working on Accounting in the ESAP series. He has a B.A. (Hons) and an M.A. in philosophy from Reading University and Manchester University respectively. He has been Head of R&D at Bournemouth Eurocentre, Pedagogic Adviser to Eurocentres UK, Chair of Cambridge FCE and CPE paper 4, a chief examiner for Edexcel and a member of the British Council EIBAS inspectors' panel. He has written much test material and a number of EFL books focussing on listening, examination skills and self-instruction. He is now a freelance consultant and writer in EFL and ESOL. John Adams is a business analyst and cost management specialist with many years' consultancy experience in both the public and private sector. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a graduate in business studies. Besides cost management, John has consultancy experience in strategic control, quality systems and marketing. He has worked for both central and local government with global organizations in the telecommunications and energy sectors, as well as small and medium enterprises. John's industrial experience among others is in Manufacturing, Engineering and Metal Processing, Automotive Retail, Science-based Consultancy, and University. His interests include economics, economic history and management cybernetics. Terry Phillips has worked in ELT for more than 35 years as a teacher, teaching supervisor, manager and language school owner. As a consultant, he has worked in more than 20 countries in all parts of the world, advising state and private language institutions on all aspects of school management. For the last ten years, he has been a full time freelance writer with his wife Anna, producing more than 160 published books in ELT. Although he and Anna have worked for all the major publishers, all recent works have been for Garnet Education. Terry is the series editor of the English for Specific Academic Purposes series for Garnet Education, which aims to prepare students to entry into a particular faculty for English-medium tertiary education. The series won the ESU award in 2009.
