The F4U Corsair was one of the most successful fighter aircraft of World War II, and it had a kill ratio of 1:1 to 1:2,140 enemy aircraft shot down for a loss of only 189. Plastic modellers are well served by Corsair models and accessories in most scales. All Corsair variants can be built, including the final 'Corncob' Corsair, the F2G-1/2. This book identifies the distinguishing features of Corsair variants from the F4U-1 to the F2G, including night fighter developments.
