Catherine Atkinson is a trained Cordon Bleu cook and has worked in a number of restaurants including the Roux Brothers' patisseries. She then moved into publishing, creating recipes and styling food. Joanna Farrow worked as a food writer on women's magazines for several years until her first child was born. Since then, she has worked freelance, contributing to magazines and writing cookbooks. Valerie Barrett has worked as a food writer and stylist for many years and is an experienced baker. Valerie has written several baking books and writes for magazines.
