The story of two years work caring for orphaned and injured badgers and foxes. On 36 acres of meadow and woodland, Chris Ferris has established a wildlife sanctuary for badgers and foxes with a view to returning them to the wild. A cat - Green-Eyed Flo - becomes part of the scene. There are glimpses of Ashcroft Wood, the scene of the author's other books: "The Darkness is Light Enough", "Out of the Darkness: Revelations of a Badger Watcher" and "The Badgers of Ashcroft Wood".
