The art of decorating an evergreen tree in one's home is as well established as the tradition of giving presents. But in recent years another trend has started - that of decorating the outside of the house and garden with lights and assorted decorations and it is becoming more popular with every passing year. This small format picture-based book will showcase the best (or rather the worst) in excessive decorations from around the world - from the greatest number of lights to the tallest inflatables - a delight for all connoisseurs of bad taste. We have many beautiful homes in our area and unfortunately these homes are rarely decorated. My wife says its because people are not as 'fanatical' as my son and I. I'm on a balcony, so my display isn't very big, but I can accomplish much brightness and computerized synchronicity. I do it to show off and provoke more tenants to decorate - I like to imagine the whole apartment block sprayed with lights. Overdecorated balconies are funny. I love lights - they seem to bring out the best in people. I also decorate my jackets and hats with LED lights to accessorise with my balcony. It gets the neighbors talking.What do my family and friends think about it? They try not to (only my husband enjoys it... to a point), they think I'm mental!
