DEBORAH BAILLIE is a lawyer and independent consultant and trainer in health and social work law. - KATE CAMERON is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of Strathclyde. - LESLEY-ANN CULL is Lecturer in Law in the School of Health and Social Welfare at the Open University. She is co-editor of The Law and Social Work (Palgrave Macmillan, 2001) with Jeremy Roche. - JEREMY ROCHE is Senior Lecturer in Law in the School of Health and Social Welfare at the Open University. He is co-editor with Lesley-Ann Cull of The Law and Social Work (Palgrave Macmillan, 2001) and of Youth in Society and Changing Experiences of Youth (both Sage 1997). - JANICE WEST is Senior Lecturer in Social Work at Glasgow Caledonian University.
