Über Douglas Hill

Douglas Hill was born in Manitoba in western Canada, and grew up in Saskatchewan. After graduating with B.A. (Hons) in English, he moved to London in 1959 and began to earn a living as a writer. He began by working in journalism and by writing non-fiction books on a range of subjects, but turned to writing science fiction and fantasy for young readers in the late 1970s. The author of more than twenty titles for young readers, including the well-known Last Legionary quintet and the Colsec trilogy, World of the Stiks is his first title to be published by Bantam Books. He lives in north London and has one grown-up son.
