There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile, He found a crooked sixpence, upon a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse. And they all lived together, in a little crooked house. This is the second in Gecko Press's board book series (other title in series: There was an Old Woman).

Über Gavin Bishop

Gavin Bishop is equally distinguished as an author and illustrator. His awards include: Book of the Year, NZ Post Book Awards (2000, 1993, 2003); the Russell Clark Medal for Illustration (1981, 2006); Grand Prize winner of the NOMA CONCOURS (Japan 1984); the LIANZA Elsie Locke Medal (2003). He has exhibited internationally, from Japan to Czechoslovakia, and was an international judge for the 2003 NOMA CONCOURS competition for Children's Picture Book Illustration.
