In the last decade, the topic of children as legal witnesses has developed from one of theoretical interest to an area exciting international media attention. This work offers the legal practitioner an overview of the latest developments. A range of methodology is described, from prior preparation through courtroom visits and explanatory leaflets, to the use of video technology in the form of pre-recorded televised interviews. Each chapter forms a summary of the legal status of children's evidence in a number of countries, including the UK, USA, Canada and Europe.
