Dr Jonathan Foyle is the author of numerous books on historic buildings and a regular feature writer on architecture and craft for The Financial Times. A former curator at Hampton Court and CEO for an international charity for preservation, he consults and lectures widely, when not researching and writing in an old house near Bath.
