This is the third edition of the highly acclaimed text which was originally based on the courses offered by the JAPEC - Joint Association for Petroleum Exploration Courses. It is now the standard text for this course (annual since 1981) as well as the set book for the Open University Course S338 and the MSc in Petroleum Geology at the Imperial College London, Aberdeen and Trondhelm Universities.
