Healing Yoga Zusammenfassung

Healing Yoga: Holistic Healing Through Yoga Techniques Liz Lark

Healing Yoga shows you how to promote holistic healing in the body through yoga techniques, thus protecting the body from ill health. As well as preventing disease, yoga can also be extremely beneficial in alleviating symptoms and stimulating the healing of specific illness, from backache and stress to gastrointestinal disorders and even cancer. The introduction explains what can trigger imbalances within the body that can cause illness. It also compares the Eastern and Western approach to healing and anatomy and suggests ways in which yoga can help to maintain these delicate balances. Eight chapters then create a map of the different systems within the human body, highlighting the most common illnesses that can affect them. There are exercises for everyone - from simple beginner poses to advanced exercise - and for all age groups and physical capabilities, with tips on how to modify in order to make them harder or easier.
