Estimating and Tendering for Construction Work takes a practical approach to estimating from a contractor's point of view. It explains the estimator's function within the construction team, the techniques and procedures used in building up an estimate, and how to convert an estimate into a tender. This new edition has been written to reflect recent changes in procurement. These include the recommendations of Sir Michael Latham in his 1994 report Constructing the Team, and new terminology introduced by the 6th edition of The CIOB Code of Estimating Practice 1997.
