Tad and Keeth, sons of the Black Gryphon, find it hard living up to their father's reputation. Tad is posted to a far outpost of the White Gryphon's territory on his first solo mission, but he and Blade, daughter of Skandranon's right-hand man, are being trailed by something that leaches out magic.
