Scanners 3: Putting Scanners into Practice Peter Rouse
This is the fourth revised and updated edition of "Scanners", the complete VHF/UHF radio listeners guide. This edition has seen the largest ever number of channels and additions and contains everything you need to know to put your scanner to better use. To this end, there is more information on frequency listings - in particular the actual frequencies used by coastal stations, airfields and the emergency services. Also included for the first time is a section on the HF (Short Wave) bands, as many scanners now also cover this besides VHF and UHF. Together with actual frequency listings for these services, full British bandplans from 25 to 2O00MHz are given, including cordless and cellular telephones, private mobile radio (PMR), amateur radio, repeaters, beacons, satellites (amateur, mititary, communication, navigation and weather) as well as COSMOS and NASA Space Shuttle frequencies, message handling, radio microphones and telemetry (industrial, scientific and medical).
