The author spent a year travelling through Asia in search of inspiration for 20 new needlepoint designs. Indian spice-markets, Tibetan tiger-cubs, Buddhist temples in Kathmandu, and Balinese beaches, are just some of the influences behind the collection in this book, in which the colour and bustle of the Orient have been translated into rich tapestries of crimson, ochre, blue and sea-green. Each pattern has straightforward instructions, charts and a suggested colour scheme, and the book is aimed at both the novice and the experienced needleworker.
