Serving under Harold Wilson and George brown, and as a leading industrialist, Sir Fred Catherwood championed British management against a left-wing and anti-European government. Under Edward Heath he spearheaded Britain's efforts to export to Europe. As an MEP during the Conservative years he initiated the Single Market and reforms to the CAP. Through it all a deep Christian faith shaped his life and principles.
