It contains 12,000 clearly written entries covering every kind of topic from history and science to politics and sport. Revised annually, approximately 1500 entries have been rewritten this year to take account of, among other things, the changes in Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. Illustrations make up one quarter of the book.
