Pasted in illustration in colour as frontispiece, appears to be hand drawn (see image). Text block edge dyed red. Pages are mildly tanned with very occasional foxing. Hand written text is clear. Occasional cracking and one page reinforced with cloth tape. Previous owner's inscription appears opposite the colour drawing. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
