No edition remarks. 440 pages. Half bound brown leather with brown cloth covered boards and gilt lettering to spine. Black and white illustrations throughout by J. Mahoney. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Cracking to hinges with exposed netting, but binding remains firm. Boards have heavy wear with bumped and abraded corners. Spine ends similarly worn and spine itself strongly scuffed. Gilt dulled. Board surfaces tanned and rubbed.
