Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Missing plates opposite pages 56, 58, 130, 180. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. More pronounced to endpapers, pastedowns and other pages. Noticeable cracking to gutters and hinges, with exposed netting. Water damage and taping evident to gutters. Binding is weakened. Ink scribble to front pastedown. Plate opposite 152 now at 262. Rear pastedown heavily scratched. Small tears to some edges with text unaffacted. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Some loss and fraying to cloth at spine ends. Book has a marked forward lean. Pen annotation to final page. Water staining and spotting to boards with white markings to front board and spine. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled.
