Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. Minor pencil marking to front free end-paper. End papers are more notably foxed. Text block edge is moderately foxed. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering has become dull. Moderate tanning to spine. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Damp staining to bottom of front board.
