Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper and pastedown. Bookbinder's sticker to front pastedown. Various edge tears to some pages, some of them repaired. Occasional minor marginalia, stamping and underlining. Grubby, creased pastedowns. Some of the pages water stained to edges and margins, but the text is unaffected. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping and fraying to corners and edges, while spine ends are very crushed and frayed. Heavy bubbling and creasing overall. A few ink spots. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Moderate forward lean. Gilt is bright.
