MAKING MEMORY BOXES Anna Corba
When we think of memory boxes, many people think of traditional shadow boxes. Anna Corba lets her imagination run wild with 35 projects made from cigar boxes, tins, and wooden crates in which she places anything that will evoke wonderful memories. Anna has her own unique style, which is very romantic and chic and lends itself well to the memory theme. Projects include: Opera Box a special box used for opera and ballet programmes or for children's recital and school play programmes, The Games We Used to Play incorporates vintage game pieces (dominos, jacks, bingo chips) with old-fashioned game cards, Baby's New Nest is created from a birdcage and embellished with baby's photo and wooden alphabet blocks, and To Italy and Back uses cigar boxes and various Italian ephemera.
