War Music is Christopher Logue's version of Books 16-19 of Homer's Iliad. Logue is author of Patrocleia, a rendition of Book 16 of this poem, much praised by Henry Miller and others for its attempt to remain faithful to the essential Greekness of the old poem, yet draw the characters with clarity and vitality.
