Part of a 2-book set, this guidebook describes 44 walks in the southern and western Yorkshire Dales, including the famous 23 mile Three Peaks circuit over Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The other, mostly circular routes of 3A to 13 miles cover the scenic region between Sedbergh, Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle, Skipton and Grassington.

A guidebook to 43 walks in the south and west of the Yorkshire Dales, covering Wharfedale, Littondale, Malham, Dentdale and Ribblesdale. Most routes are easy or moderate, although there are a handful of more demanding outings crossing rugged upland terrain.

The walks, all easily accessible from Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle, Skipton and Grassington, range from 6 to 21km (413 miles) and can be enjoyed in 25 hours. Also included is the Yorkshire Three Peaks: a 37km (23 mile) challenge route visiting Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Über Dennis Kelsall

Dennis and Jan Kelsall have long held a passion for countryside and hill walking. Since their first Cicerone title was published in 1995, they have written around 35 guides to some of Britain's most popular walking areas and have become regular contributors to various outdoor magazines.
