This is the second title in the John Carter of Mars series (due to be released as a film in 2012). This is a tale of thrilling sword-play and intrigue. After the many death-defying battles and near-escapes of The Princess of Mars, John Carter is returned to earth against his will, only to be sent back to Mars yet again at the start of this sequel. Having been separated from his wife, the beautiful Dejah Thoris, for ten years, Carter will do anything to be reunited with her. Before that can happen, however, Carter must team up with his Martian ally Tars Tharkas to do battle against a wide array of enemies, including the terrifying Plant-Men and the deadly Pirates of Barsoom on their speeding aerial craft.
